How our structures interact

Council is the top level decision-making body; accountable to Parliament for our activities.

Boards report to and advise Council, enabling delivery of our strategic objectives.

Strategy Panels oversee strategy development.

Research Committees oversee peer review processes, assess grant applications and ensure Committees' interests are represented to the reporting Board via the Director of Science.

Four boards report to Council: Appointments, Audit, Remuneration and a fourth currently being restructured into which our Strategy Panels and Research Committees report
